Because of the success of the 2011 festival and because of
the support of our sponsors, GBAI was able to contribute $6,500
to local school art programs.
Two thousand dollars was given to
the Pensacola State
College art scholarship
program for students
entering the newly formed baccalaureate
degree program. Gulf Breeze
Arts is the first
organization to contribute
to this program. We were also
able to donate $1,500 to the art programs at Gulf Breeze
High School, and $1000
each to Gulf Breeze Middle School, Gulf Breeze Elementary
School, and Oriole Beach Elementary School. In these times of
economic difficulty these donations make a tremendous difference
to these programs and allow the art teachers to do many projects
for which they would otherwise not have the funds.

Gulf Breeze Arts president Anita Williams presents a $2,000 check to Visual Arts Department chairman Krist Lien of Pensacola State College to help support their new baccalaureate art program.
