The Festival Poster Contest Deadline is 12:00 noon, November 11, 2011


Each year, Gulf Breeze Celebrates the Arts festival sponsors a design competition to select the official festival poster. The winning artist receives a $250 cash award. Creative artists of all ages are encouraged to submit their designs. Entries should be appropriate for replication for posters, silk-screened t-shirts and other Celebrates the Arts promotional items. The basic design of last year's winner by Sandy Klotter is shown below. The 2008, 2009, and 2010 posters are shown at the bottom of the page.

       

Submissions Requirements:

All entries must be a minimum of 14”x24”, no more than 24”x36”. The design must be either horizontal (preferred) or vertical in a rectangular format. Including the name “Gulf Breeze Celebrates the Arts, Gulf Breeze, Florida 2011” is optional. Each entry must include the artist’s name, address and telephone number adhered to the back of the entry. No more than three designs per artist may be submitted. Artist must include a jpg image of their art on a CD to be used for replication by tee-shirt, poster, and publicity.

Entries need to be mailed or delivered by noon, November 11, 2011 to the office of Dr. Steve Zieman, 13 Center Street in Gulf Breeze, Florida. Mailed entries must be postmarked by November 11, 2011 and mailed to Gulf Breeze Arts, Inc., PO Box 52, Gulf Breeze FL 32562-0640. Posters submitted by mail must include return postage and appropriate mailing material/packages. Entries not including sufficient postage will not be returned.

Judging criteria will include viability of sales potential and submissions should be thematically related to the arts festival and/or the region. The Festival Committee reserves the right to accept or reject all work submitted during this competition. Gulf Breeze Arts, Inc. accepts no liability for damaged or lost art works. Pick-up deadline date for non-winning posters is January 19, 2012 before 3pm at the office of Dr. Zieman.

Gulf Breeze Arts, Inc. will reproduce the winning Poster for sale during the Festival. Copies of the poster are available for sale each year and have become a regional collector’s item. The winning entry becomes the property of GBAI. The artist retains the copyright of the design image, but GBAI reserves the right to unlimited reproduction and use of the image or parts of the image for arts festival materials and products for sale.
